MemoryWare is a folk art tradition practiced by many cultures. It is the art of taking a common object such as a teapot, pitcher or vessel and covering it with all kinds of materials such as jewelry, beads, buttons and shells. They are often personal objects brought together by a particular theme or memory, or as a tribute to a special person, place or thing. In this workshop, students create a very personal object using their keepsakes.
