Basic Drawing Adults

This course focuses on the importance of form, composition and value. You will learn the most effective use of various drawing materials: Graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, erasers, and drawing paper. You will also learn skills that can enable you to accomplish visual effects that can add depth, dimension, and weight to your drawings. We will explore and consider how various drawing techniques can create wonderful texture, add atmospheric perspective, and broaden your understanding of drawing as an art form. Examples of how to begin and finish an academic style drawing will be demonstrated in easy steps in class. The goal of the class is to learn and have fun!
Materials to bring to first day of class:
Graphite Pencils (HB, 1B, 2B, 24B, 6B, 8B, 4H, 2H, H) These can be found at Michaels and are usually sold in a set.
Charcoal Pencils
General's Kneaded Rubber Eraser

Blending Stumps
