BEGINNING OIL PAINTING

This course is designed for beginner-level students who are interested in learning how to paint in oil. You will learn about different types of mediums, brushes, and different grades of paints.
We will practice together in class by painting still life, landscapes, portraits of people and pets. You will learn different techniques from the Renaissance and Baroque eras. The main objective of this class is to become comfortable and familiar with painting in oil and also have fun while learning.
Class is located on second floor and not wheelchair accessible.

(Student Grade) Winsor Newton Winton Oil, or (Artist Grade) if you prefer better quality .

. Cadmium Yellow, or Yellow Light
. Titanium White
. Zinc White
Linseed Oil (for Oil Painting)
Golden Retarder (for Acrylic Paint)
. One 1-inch, or 2-inch Bristle Brush
. One size (8) Filbert Brush.
. One size (4) Filbert Brush.
. One size (2) any type of brush.
. One size (1) round brush.
And any additional type or size of brushes that you would like to work with.

Palette Knife Set
One Palette Paper
One Artist Blue Tape
One box of plastic gloves (you can find these online on Amazon, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.)
