Join us for the new Board Leadership Roundtable in partnership between Broward Center for Nonprofit Excellence and the Winkler Group.
To support nonprofit board leaders in guiding their nonprofits with greater strategy and impact, we’re launching a quarterly Board Leadership Roundtable. These sessions are designed to equip Broward nonprofit Board Chairs and Vice Chairs with practical tools, peer insights, and leadership strategies to strengthen mission delivery.
Each two-hour, in-person session combines expert facilitation by Jim Bush, President and CEO of the Winkler Group, with peer-led discussion and tangible takeaways that strengthen board performance and mission impact. Participants gain tools to build stronger, more strategic nonprofit boards and foster sustained mission growth.
Eligible nonprofits must have a budget of $1 million or more and at least two leadership-level staff members in place (though staff members do not participate in the program). Board Chairs and Vice Chairs are encouraged to participate together, but participating organizations must send at least one board representative to each session. Organizations invest $250 to join the 2026 cohort (invoiced upon registration). Organizations with representatives participating in all four sessions will be eligible for an Action Grant from the Community Foundation of Broward to support board or capacity development.
Each board member should register separately. One invoice will be sent to the organization at the first registration for that organization. Each organization may have up to 4 participants, ideally the Board Chair and Vice Chair plus any other executive committee members. If one or both of these leaders are not available, other board participation is permitted. This is NOT a program for staff members.
