Amy Valuck has worked professionally in stained glass since starting her apprenticeship in 1998 and later becoming studio manager at The Art of Glass in Media, PA. As part of a team working primarily on historical stained glass, she has restored windows from prominent locations including the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Princeton University chapel, and the National Cathedral in Washington DC. In 2014, Amy established her own studio, offering both restoration services and commissioned design work. She has also taken classes and studied independently in traditional glass painting and fused glass, incorporating these techniques into her personal work. Her autonomous work has been shown in the annual American Glass Now exhibition in 2014, 2015, and 2016. She maintains an active membership with the American Glass Guild, as a lecturer and instructor. Amy received her BFA in Jewelry and fine metals from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1997, and also enjoys doing occasional work in metals.
