Artists will work on a variety of different kinds of silver casting in the CAC's well equipped jewelry studio with casting types to include: broom, cuttlefish, sand, ice water and tufa.

  • Students must work in silver and bring their own silver casting grain. If you're interested in tufa, sand or cuttlefish, bring the necessary materials. Instruction will be available to those who are new to casting and non silver materials will be provided for broom, salt and ice water casting.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and was a middle school teacher in Philadelphia before my children were born. Now as a second career, I'm teaching Beginning Jewelry at the CAC and occasional workshops at Blue Santa Beads. I enjoy taking Interweave classes from teachers around the country in my spare time and I've also dabbled in oil painting, watercolors, and pottery.
