Course Description

Participants will be able to choose a one-of-a-kind pair of my handmade reversible stoneware discs as well as complementary components...

I will then demonstrate how to make the wire swings, head pins and custom sized jump rings needed to complete the designs of mine which inspire them…So they can then leave with their very own handmade pair of Easy-2-Wear Spirit Hole Earrings!

Components include a choice of Wasser & Beach glass beads, stackable wood discs, 2-holed copper charms or buttons,
seed bead spacers, blackened steel or copper wire and copper or niobium ear wires.

Required Supplies

If you have jewelry wire working tools, please bring them.

Barbara Hanselman's Website I started my adventure in clay 20 years ago and am recognized by my hand built whimsical pots and terra sigillata enhanced ceramic clay beads. My clay work has been acknowledged with awards at Strictly Functional Pottery Nationals and the Pennsylvania Guild Exhibitions in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and at several area art center shows. Lark Books chose two of my bowls to appear in their 2003 publication, "500 Bowls" and selected my transfer printed bowl, “What’s in a Word…” to appear in their 2006 publication, “Image Transfer on Clay.” My classes/workshops on Clay Hand Building Techniques, Clay Rattles and Making Beads in Clay are offered at local art centers and my clay work is available for purchase online as well as through select galleries.
