In this comprehensive class, students choose to work in 2 or 3 dimensional media utilizing clay, pastel, charcoal or oil. All students will learn to represent the figure from direct observation of a life model. Demonstrations on modeling particular parts of the figure in clay as well as demonstrations illustrating the anatomy and proportions of the head and body will be given. Instructions and demonstrations of different techniques of soft pastels, oils and charcoal will be given to the students during the long studies of the figure.

  • A separate model fee will be paid to the instructor in class.
  • Please see supply list for materials needed.
  • There is no class on 4/7/2020.
