The vast unknown of the sky has always fascinated mankind. Create the allure of dramatic watercolor skies in your own work.

The morning session of the class will take a look at various watercolor painters and their depiction of the sky, discuss the science behind various skyscapes, and read some sky literature. The morning will end with technical exercises to enhance students' ability to create dramatic skies.

After the break, students will create their own dramatic skyscape with instructor guidence. The workshop will close with a group critique.

  • The workshop will run from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Students will have a break from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. The afternoon session will run from 1:30 pm to 4 pm.
  • This is an online class presented using Zoom. Online Zoom class information will be sent to you upon your registration. Zoom is free and easy to use! The CAC will provide you with information on how to use Zoom.
