This class explores various approaches to drawing animals, from Audubon’s graceful and informative bird illustrations to the expressive horses of Franz Marc. Students will learn basic structure and comparative anatomy of vertebrates. They will also look at approaches to animal drawing throughout history and from around the world. Drawing from models and photographs, students will use graphite, charcoal, pastels, ink, and watercolors.
