Experienced Printmakers or Students enrolled in a printmaking course are encouraged to participate in Open Studio hours during the semester. Open Studio allows time for finishing work, using presses or expanding on ideas learned in class. The CAC print studio is here to serve as an asset to printmakers who are looking for press access, and do not have the space or equipment to make their own prints independently. A finalized schedule of Open Studio hours will be posted during the first week of classes.

  • The CAC will be closed November 24 - 27.
  • To enroll in open studio students must:
  • -participate in a two hour orientation session during the first week of classes going over procedures, operating, storage of materials and safety. This only needs to be taken once.
  • -have taken a pre-requisite class (for approved classes, contact Studio Coordinator Austin Dodson can be reached at austindodson@gmail.com) or call the office at 610-566-1713 x11.
  • Please Note:  This class is planned as an in person class and we expect that it will run the full semester in person.  However, there is an ongoing need to adhere to guidance and safety practices in order to safely manage the COVID-19 situation.  The guidelines from state government and public health authorities change as time progresses and the CAC may need to make adjustments accordingly.  It is possible that this class will transition to an online format at some point during the semester.  In this case, tuition refunds will not be issued unless the CAC is unable to provide the same number of class sessions as initially planned either in person or in a remote format.
  • Student would be responsible for all their materials. CAC will provide presses, acid, felts, other misc. equipment in shelves: brayers, ink knives, ball grounds. Their fee for use of the studio would be used to replace and maintain these basic materials.
