Don't miss this opportunity to join Philadelphia-based artist and teacher, Alice Meyer-Wallace, as she leads you through a watercolor journey inspired by great watercolor artists from Sargent to Demuth! This course will delve deep into still-life, figure and landscape painting. We will paint outside when weather permits. Bring your brushes and a creative mind.

  • NO CLASS: March 25th - 30th
  • 1 2B pencil
  • 1 kneaded eraser
  • 3 brushes (small, medium, large)
  • Good quality watercolor paper - 140lb. cold press (9x12 or bigger, Arches is best)
  • Watercolors in small tubes - cadmium yellow medium, cadmium red light, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, permanent green, Thalo green, opera rose, burnt umber, Naples yellow, permanent tempera white.  You are welcome to bring a good quality set of watercolor pans such as Windsor and Newton or Yarka. High quality materials make painting so much easier!
Meyer-Wallace, Alice

Alice Meyer Wallace, born in Philadelphia in 1941, lives and teaches painting in Naousa, Paros, Greece. She graduated from RISD in 1963, European Honors program final year in Italy (1963), has lived in Majorca, Spain where she has a house and Paros, Greece where she has a converted goat shed. She hibernates each winter in Pennsylvania, where she paints and teaches and keeps warm. She taught at the Aegean Center of Fine Arts for 10 years in Paros. Has illustrated childrens books. Teaches now at the Main Line Art Center, the Chester Springs School, and The Plastic Club in Pa. Watercolors can be seen at Yria in Lefkis, Paros, Greece.
