This course is created for anyone who enjoys abstraction as a means of expression. Each week will be spent learning about a specific, historically recognized abstract painter- their philosophy and methods. Students will then experiment with what has been learned by creating work, incorporating that artist's methods. Time will be allowed each week for discussion. The first three artists presented will be Mondrian, Arp, and Klee.
