Raku Glazing and Firing - Evening

Fall Class | Available

In this 6-week class there will be an emphasis on glazing and firing.

Please bring to first class - 3 small green ware pieces (unfired) and 3 various sized bisqued pieces. The pieces should be no larger than 10”x 10”x 10”.  We will look at pieces to decide the best way to glaze and to try different glaze techniques.

You will need to buy your bag of 239 Raku Clay from the Community Art Center when you register for class.

- Please bring a variety of sized pieces to enable us to work as a class- This is a learning situation, to experiment with glaze and decoration techniques and then firing techniques.  You can work in Open Studio Time to make Raku pieces. This is not a class for production firing.

  • Clay is not included in the supply fee.  Clay purchased with your registration needs to be pick up in this semester.  Clay puchases do not carry over from one semester to the next when purchased with the class.  Clay can be purchased in the office as needed throughout the semester.
