Wet Felted Vessels with Sue Fox Mitrano
Fall Workshop | Available
Create a lovely vessel or bowl using colorful wool roving, yarn and pieces of shimmery viscose! Through the wet felting process, we will turn light and fluffy wool into beautiful and sturdy, shaped vessels of felt. Learn how the felting process originated and the many ways people around the world work with and use felt. You can even customize your vessel shape. You will learn how to add decorative elements to the interior and exteriors surfaces. Inspiration and samples will be provided to spark creativity!
Quality Merino wool and all supplied are included in the fee. Participants are also welcome to bring bits of their own 100% natural wool/fibers to include in their artwork.
Please bring a lunch for the break.
Students will need to supply:
Aprons or "messy clothes"
1 Large old clean beach or bath towel to cover table to soak up excess water
