Foundations of Wheel Throwing

Foundations studio is a supportive, self leveled, step-by-step environment to learn the basics of wheel-throwing pottery. Built for beginners to orient them to working in a community space, helping artists to express themselves through the work, Foundations is designed to support you, providing as much structure as you need behind the wheel as you grow your skills. Relaxed and encouraging, Foundations is here to help you find your flow, focus, and grow through play with clay.
- Please note this is a 7-week class - No Class 4th of July
- The 1st bag of clay is included in the lab fee. Additional clay can be purchased from the office if needed. Please bring basic clay tools, we will also have tools to share!
Jessica Leis
Jessica Leis is a ceramic artist in Philadelphia Pa. who believes the objects we hold, and use deserve a human touch, because small moments of joy in a day are what make life nice.
Jessica teaches wheel throwing for teens and adults at Wallingford Community Art Center. When she’s not behind the wheel you can find her at fluffypuppottery.com
