Using hand-building techniques, students will work independently, under the guidance of the instructor, to develop their own goals and create their own unique masterpieces. Students of all levels of ceramic experience enrich the class.
Clay is not included in lab fee. Clay must be purchased through the office by email, info@communityartscenter.org, by phone, 610-566-1713 or in person on the 1st day of class or as needed. You will need know the specific clay body you want to present your printed or emailed receipt to your instructor to get your clay. Your instructor will help you with choosing your clay body, if needed. Purchase clay before taking clay, thank you.
Bob Deane's Website Bob Deane is a potter and painter who was raised in the Media, PA area. He earned a B.F.A in Ceramics from Bloomsburg University in 1988. His work has been shown in many local stores and galleries. Recently, Bob has been immersed in working with local creek clay and discovering the connection between the ground he walks on and the artwork he creates. He currently teaches at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA, at the Mainline Art Center and the Wayne Arts Center both on Philadelphia’s Main Line. Bob has been a member of the Wallingford Potter’s Guild since 1991.
