Glazing for the Electric Kiln

Elevate your glazing techniques and learn how to explore new electric glazing techniques and combinations in this 3-week class.
We will go over all the basic steps involved in glazing and under glazing, learn tips and tricks which make glazing faster and easier. You will learn how to test new glaze combinations and explore a number of different techniques for layering glazes.

 

  • Clay will not be purchased for this class.  You will not need clay because you will not be making pieces in this class.
    We will be concentrating on Electric Glazes.  Please make sure your bisqueware is made with clay appropriate for cone 6 firing.
    Your will not receive a cubby for this class.

  • Please bring:
    Bisqueware and/or test tiles
    Hand towels for wiping your hands
    Notebook and pen for taking notes

In Cecilia’s life pottery has served as an essential, restorative outlet.  She has worked on and off at the CAC for many years, both as a student and as a Ceramic Studio Technician.  In her own work, Cecilia focuses heavily on the form, functionality and feel of her pieces.
