Animation Basics for Teens
Winter Class | Available
Students will be introduced to the techniques and principles used in the art of animation, including pixilation, replacement animation, stop motion, and traditional on-paper animation. This class will outline methods used to achieve smooth naturalistic motion, and demonstrate how students can assemble the individual pictures they've made into animation footage. The goal of this class is to make the basics of animation accessible to participants and introduce paths towards pursuing animation long after the conclusion of the class.
Please note there is a materials fee of $35 paid to the instructor on the first day of class (in addition to online enrollment fees) to supply each participant with a light table and gooseneck phone holder that they can keep after the class. Students should bring a smart phone to use an animation app in class.
- Children in the WSSD can take the bus to class. Please make sure you check off Taking the Bus when registering so we know to inform the school district your child is coming here on this day.
PLEASE NOTE: Those selecting the bus option after December 19 cannot be guaranteed after-school bus transportation to CAC the first week of school.
If you child will not be attending a class please let the office know.
Please fill in and return to Info@communityartscenter.org the Student Information Form provided on the bottom of the registration page prior to the first class.
