This wheel class is a supportive and inclusive studio environment for potters at all experience levels! Beginners can learn the fundamentals with hands on instruction and more experienced potters can have the space and time to experiment with more advanced throwing, trimming and glazing techniques.

    For this class clay is included in your lab fee. If needed, additional clay can be purchased through the office. Purchase can be made via email, by phone and/or in person during office hours. Please note specific clay body when placing order. Porcelain clay bodies (257 and 437) are priced at $60 per unit. Non-porcelain clay bodies are priced at $35 per unit. Purchase in advance of class and present receipt to instructor before collecting clay.

    PLEASE NOTE: If your child is a WSSD student and plans to take the bus directly from school to Community Arts Center, please be sure to make the bus selection when registering for this program. Those selecting the bus option after August 15 cannot be guaranteed after-school bus transportation to CAC the first week of school.

    Please make sure you fill out and return the Student Information Form, found at the bottom of the course registration page, and email it to info@communityartscenter.org prior to the first class

    Wear comfortable clothes. It gets messy!

  • Clay is included in the lab fee. Please bring basic clay tools. We will also have tools to share! Only one bag of clay is included in the lab fee.
    IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL CLAY DURING THE SEMESTER PLEASE PURCHASE IT THROUGH THE OFFICE.
