Individual Journey for Wheel Throwers
Spring Class | Registration opens Wednesday, February 4, 2026 12:01 AM EST
Using wheel techniques, students will work independently, under the guidance of the instructor, to develop their own goals and create their own unique masterpieces. Students of all levels of ceramic experience enrich the class.
Schedule Notes:
The Community Arts Center will be closed for Spring Break from 3/29/26-4/5/26, and for Memorial Day on 5/25/26.
Class will not meet on 3/31/26.
- Clay is not included in lab fee. Creek Clay can be purchased with registration.
All other clay bodies must be purchased through the office. Purchase clay first day of class or as needed via email, by phone and/or in person during office hours. Please note specific clay body when placing order. Porcelain clay bodies (257 and 437) are priced at $60 per unit. Non-porcelain clay bodies are priced at $35 per unit. Present receipt to instructor before collecting clay.
Please note: Students who wish to fire work in the soda kiln and are currently registered in a class that is not soda kiln specific can do so for an additional $20 fee/semester. Only available to students who have previously taken a soda specific class or workshop at CAC.
- Students should bring a notebook, a 2 – 2 ½ gallon bucket with lid, an old towel, and some basic clay tools (which can be purchased at CAC).
