Continuing Drawing (Session 1)

Are you looking for a drawing class where you can continue to develop your creativity, imagination and technical skills? Students will work with the instructor to develop their own projects based on their interests and desires. Try out a variety of new drawing mediums including colored pencils, charcoals, and inks. The class has a fun and relaxed atmosphere that encourages experimentation mixed with classical methodology.
Schedule Notes:
This class meets 6 times on Fridays from 3/20/26 to 5/1/26.
NO CLASS on Friday 4/3/2026. The Community Arts Center will be closed for Spring Break from 3/29/26-4/5/26.
This class is open to ages 16+ and Adults.
You must complete a Student Information Form for each child (below the age of 18) attending a semester class or workshop without a parent or legal guardian. (This form is not required if a parent or guardian is also registered for the workshop and attending with the student.)

Craig Stover
Craig Stover has resided in Philadelphia for over 20 years and is widely known in the Philly arts scene as an artist, teacher, curator and art administrator. Craig has exhibited his works in numerous galleries including the Pentimenti Gallery, Cerulean Arts and the Williams Gallery. His studio in the Fairmount neighborhood and welcomes visitors and collectors alike (visit the artist’s website at www.picturemaker.com). Over the past decade, Craig served as the Executive Director for Allens Lane Art Center where he oversaw it’s summer art camp, produced 60+ productions in the Allens Lane Theater, curated over 100 exhibitions in the Alber Galleries and developed a wide variety of classes in the visual and performing arts (including the well-known Vision Thru Art program (sculpture classes for blind artists). Additionally Craig also hosts a weekly artist interview program called ArtShow that started as a response to the pandemic of 2019. ArtShow highlights the best artists working in Philadelphia today and gives viewers a chance to learn about new artists, how they work and what inspires their creativity.
