Course Description

Have you always wanted to glaze a better pot. Starting with the basic glaze combinations, join Nadia as she shows you how to dip, spray, splash, wax and layer up our glazes. Bring in your glazed "problem pots" and let us find a solution to each glazing problem. Bring in 3-5 bisqued pots and test tiles for experimentation. Use cone 10 clay bodies: 182-153-306-257.

Special Notes

The fee for this workshop does not include bisque firing. Please bring your own bisque fired pots or test tiles for this workshop at the arts center.

Required Supplies

Bring in 3-5 bisqued pots and test tiles if you like for experimentation. You can also bring glazed problem pots if you have them. Use cone 10 clay bodies: 182-153-306-257

Working as an Interior Designer for more than thirty years has given me a love of grace and line that I try to incorporate into the pieces that I throw. I consider myself not just a potter, but an artist trying to find beauty in the clay. Recently, I have been experimenting with combining my love of hand building, and sculpting clay with the pieces I throw on the wheel. This has taken my work into a new and exciting level of design. I believe we never stop learning. Everyday is a new day to explore the clay, and learn how far we can push and pull our way to a beautiful work of art.
