Jewelry Metals: Bangin’ Bezels and Rockin’ Rocks

Students will explore basic jewelry making techniques using the jeweler's saw, acetylene torch, rolling mill, flex shaft, and grinding cabinet. Learn to bezel set stones, texture metal, solder, and create your own designs. Master the basics and then turn your creativity loose. The theme is "transparency" for the Summer. Open to adults and teens 16+.
Please note: A $30 materials fee is paid to the instructor in cash the first class to cover specialized supplies provided by the instructor.
You must complete a Student Information Form for each child (below the age of 18) attending a semester class or workshop.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and was a middle school teacher in Philadelphia before my children were born. Now as a second career, I'm teaching Beginning Jewelry at the CAC and occasional workshops at Blue Santa Beads. I enjoy taking Interweave classes from teachers around the country in my spare time and I've also dabbled in oil painting, watercolors, and pottery.
