Animation Techniques for Teens
Fall Class | Registration opens Wednesday, August 5, 2026 6:00 AM EDT
Animation Techniques is an in-depth, intensive exploration of the finer techniques and principles used in the art of animation, primarily geared toward those who are passionate about animation and interested in learning as much as there is to know about the medium. This class will outline methods used to achieve smooth, naturalistic motion, cover all 12 fundamental principles of animation, and direct students toward a variety of online materials that they can use as inspiration or to continue their learning outside the bounds of the classroom. The goal of this class is to make a greater depth of animation knowledge accessible to participants and provide the necessary information and skill-building for students to continue the pursuit of animation far beyond the class itself.
Please note:
-Students must bring a smart phone to use an animation app in class.
-A materials fee of $20 paid to CAC during registration covers access to light tables and other art supplies and equipment while in class.
