Watercolor for Kids (6-10 years old)
Winter Class | Registration opens Wednesday, November 4, 2026 6:00 AM EDT
This 8-week class is geared towards children ages 6 to 10 years old, interested in learning about watercolor. We will be covering the basics including learning about the color wheel and developing our skills along the way.
Each week, students will create imaginative paintings inspired by a variety of subjects, including abstract art, landscapes, portraits, and still life. Along the way, they will have opportunities to experiment, express their creativity, and develop their own artistic styles in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The class will culminate in a special family art show during the final session, where students can proudly exhibit their artwork and celebrate their creative accomplishments with family and friends.
- You must complete a Student Information Form for each child (below the age of 18) attending a semester class or workshop. Form URL: https://reg127.imperisoft.com/Pages/System/File.aspx?id2=6606
Fill out, sign, and email the form to info@communityartscenter.org. This form must be returned to the CAC office BEFORE the first class date.
- All materials will be provided in class. Students do not need to bring anything with them. They will have access to watercolor paper, pencils, prang watercolors, brushes and water containers etc.
