Watercolor students will explore the use of color triads to create luminous color harmony throughout a painting. The first session will involved learning about triad color theory and effective ways to use these ideas. Current and historical uses of triads in painting will be analyzed. Exercises designed to increase the student's ability to mix beautiful luminous colors will be practiced.
Day two, we will focus on some painting demos and student preparatory work for final triad painting. On day three, students will work on their final triad painting with instructor guidance and group critique.
