Course Description

Come with the expectations of leaving your comfort zone and becoming more experimental with your thought process and materials. I will work with you to expand your current methods, be they reality based or non-representational. there will be demonstrations and critiques (group discussions really) everyday. Pace yourself, we'll have five whole days to play!

Required Supplies

GEL MEDIUM - most important item - it comes in glossy and matte finish, the choice is yours. I use matte
- Watercolor paper to work on - the heavier the better
- Acrylic paints - tube paints or the cheap craft paints sold at Micheals for $0.89 each
- Collage elements - this can be tissue papers, wrapping papers, whatever you like
- Aluminum foil, waxed paper and a water container
- Paint brushes, a sponge for clean up and a covering for your table
- I also use plastic "joint applicators" sold at Lowes in the drywall section (this is optional)

Nancy Barch's Website Nancy has taught at CAC for over 12 years. She teaches both yearly classes and workshops of various media. As a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, and the Philadelphia Water Color Society, the work of Delaware County Artist Nancy has traversed the United States. She has garnered a number of coveted awards for her work in a variety a media including Best of Show in the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society.
