Course Description

This workshop will help watercolorists loosen up and enjoy the process of creating luscious colorful paintings! We will meet from 10 am - 12 pm and again from 1 - 4 pm. The morning will be spent doing a series of exercises designed to help painters loosen up and explore the possibilities of the medium.

The afternoon will be spent guiding each student to create a colorful dynamic loose watercolor painting of their choice. This workshop will enhance your creativity and appreciation of the art of watercolor.

Special Notes

The workshop will run from 10 am to 12 pm. Students will have a break from 12 to 1 pm. The afternoon session will run from 1 to 4 pm.
This is an online class presented using Zoom. Online Zoom class information will be sent to you upon your registration. Zoom is free and easy to use! The CAC will provide you with information on how to use Zoom.

All suggested colors are on the link above. At least one sheet of professional quality cold press paper (Arches, Fabriano Waterford Saunders), large round and flat, good quality watercolor brushes.

Deena Ball

Deena Ball's Website Deena S. Ball is a teaching and exhibiting fine artist in the Philadelphia area. Current exhibitions are primarily watercolor landscapes, many of which use a textured ground on Strathmore Plate Bristol, Ampersand Board or Yupo synthetic paper. She exhibits in numerous galleries throughout the mid-Atlantic region, as well as art festivals, juried and invitational nationwide shows. Most recently her work was included in the National Watercolor Society's exhibition in California. Deena's innovative watercolor paintings have been published in Splash 12 and Splash 13. An article about her paintings and techniques appeared in Watercolor Artist Magazine in 2012 and 2013.
