Let's meet some master artists! Have you heard of Leonardo Da Vinci? How about Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keeffe or John James Audubon? Each artist has their own style that often tells us about their thoughts and the time in which they lived. They want to communicate with us. What's your style? What do you want to communicate through your art?

We will discover and be inspired by these artists and others, including pop artists, in the creation of our own masterpieces. Learn new techniques and experiment with a wide variety of media to make a collage, drawings, paintings and more. Our class will visit the CAC gallery to view contemporary art. Former students welcome, there is so much to explore!

  • Please Note: This class is planned as an in person class and we expect that it will run the full semester in person. However, there is an ongoing need to adhere to guidance and safety practices in order to safely manage the COVID-19 situation. The guidelines from state government and public health authorities change as time progresses and the CAC may need to make adjustments accordingly. It is possible that this class will transition to an online format at some point during the semester. In this case, tuition refunds will not be issued unless the CAC is unable to provide the same number of class sessions as initially planned either in person or in a remote format.
  • All materials will be provided during a safe pick up from the CAC. Mediums will include drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and more!
