Explore the Community Arts Center and discover all sorts of references to use as a starting point for drawing! We'll begin by observing objects and spaces around the CAC to visualize possibilities in our sketchbooks. Students will create a finished drawing based on their sketches using drawing processes that reflect their personal style!

  • Please Note:  This class is planned as an in person class and we expect that it will run the full semester in person.  However, there is an ongoing need to adhere to guidance and safety practices in order to safely manage the COVID-19 situation.  The guidelines from state government and public health authorities change as time progresses and the CAC may need to make adjustments accordingly.  It is possible that this class will transition to an online format at some point during the semester.  In this case, tuition refunds will not be issued unless the CAC is unable to provide the same number of class sessions as initially planned either in person or in a remote format.

As a teaching artist, Gail has worked with students of all ages — in youth classes and adult workshop settings, as an artist-in-residence (age 3 - high school), and as an adjunct instructor in Early Childhood Arts Education (college). Gail has engaged in numerous collaborations with artists, teachers, and community-based programs to develop and mentor arts-integrated learning experiences focused on literacy and the arts.
