If our writing today went into a time capsule, what would our poems, novels, flash fiction, and other pieces tell future generations of this unprecedented time? Each workshop will explore short historical text excerpts followed by writing prompts. The goal is to use these writings as a springboard for creating texts in response to our current climate. Writers can also use the prompts to breathe new life into an ongoing project. This workshop is for everyone—new and seasoned writers, and those interested in exploring these pivotal texts.

Jennifer Mancuso holds an MFA in Writing from The New Hampshire Institute of Art. She is the author of The Everything Guide to Becoming an Event Planner, is a member of the Boston Writers of Color, contributor to the Growing Up Girl Project, and writer for Art New England. Raised in the shadow of the Boston Busing Crisis, she is completing a set of novels based on her experience growing up biracial while passing. Jennifer spends most of her time being a single mom to two daughters and volunteering.
