This is a great opportunity for artists with a passion for drawing to get together, learn from each other, and gain valuable skills with Amy as their guide. The group will meet weekly; artists can work independent study style on drawings from manga, cartoon character development to classical rendering and composition building.

*PLEASE NOTE this is a 6-week class, with no class Thanksgiving week*

Amy Drago has 20 years teaching experience teaching young artists. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan, she got her M.Ed. from University of Maryland in art education. She currently teaches for the Wakefield Public Schools and before that in Watertown, MA. She has 2 children in the Melrose Public Schools at both the middle and elementary level. When she is not teaching, she loves to draw and paint. “I love finding unique solutions to creative problems”. Her favorite part of teaching art to young children is watching the confidence of young artists grow and the joy it brings them.
