Course Description: In this 2 hour per week hand-building class, students will learn and practice basic hand-building skills like pinching, coiling, and slab-building. Students will be introduced to various projects and can also work on their own projects with instructor guidance. This class takes place at the same time as a 4-person wheel-throwing class, also taught by instructor Michelle Ramadan.

Dates: Jan 5, Jan 12, Jan 19, Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 9  

Age Group: This is an 18+ class. Students who do not meet this age criteria must contact ceramics@fyamelrose.org to ask for permission to participate, but such a request is not a guarantee of enrollment.

Class Type: This is a hand-building only class. Students will learn and practice basic ceramic techniques like coiling, pinching, and slab-building. There will not be any wheel time. 

FAQ: When will pieces be ready for pick-up? The minimum amount of time to get a ceramic piece out of the glaze kiln is 2-3 weeks after the session ends.
