In this 2 hour per week ceramics class, our potters will spend much of their time on the potter’s wheel learning basic wheel-throwing techniques and practicing how to form pots on the wheel. Potters will also complete at least one hand-built project. Supplies and firing costs included in the fee. Class is capped at 6 and must have 4 enrolled to run.

Dates: Jan 10, Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14

Age Group: This class is for students ages 11-14. Students MUST be at least 11 at the time of enrollment (by the first class) to be eligible for this class. Students who do not meet this age criteria must contact ceramics@fyamelrose.org to ask for permission to participate. Such a request is not a guarantee of enrollment.

Class Type: This is a ceramics class. Students will alternate spending time on the wheel, hand-building, and decorating / glazing.

FAQ: When will pieces be ready for pick-up? The minimum amount of time to get a ceramic piece out of the glaze kiln is 2-3 weeks after the session ends.
