Description: This is a semi-private 2.5 hour per week ceramics class for novice potters and potters with some introductory experience. Students may practice their hand-building and/or wheel-throwing skills during this course. The class is capped at 5 to ensure that everyone enrolled will have access to a wheel should the student decide to focus on wheel-throwing only. Wheel-throwers will practice centering, pulling walls, and trimming to form finished functional ceramic ware. Hand-builders will receive individualized instruction based on self-designed projects using coiling, pinching, and slab-building techniques.

Dates: 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6

  • Additional Information: All pieces are limited to 8” in height and width. Classes must have 4 enrolled to run. Materials and firing costs included in the fee. We use brown stoneware clay and studio-made glazes.
