Description: In this 1.5 hour per week class, young potters will learn and practice the basics of hand-building, wheel-throwing, and decorating clay pieces. Students will spend most of class time hand-building and working on specific projects. Each student will have 1 class on the wheel.

Age Group: Only students in the age range listed in the course title are eligible for enrollment. Students who do not meet the age criteria must contact ceramics@fyamelrose.org to ask for permission to participate.

Dates: 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3

  • Note: This class is the exact same curriculum as the Ages 8-10 Ceramics class that meets Wednesdays from 4-5:30PM.

    Additional Information: Classes must have 4 enrolled to run. Materials and firing costs included in the fee. The studio provides tools. We use brown stoneware clay. All student pieces will be glazed clear and fired by staff after the session is completed, and pieces will be ready for pick-up approximately 4 weeks after the end of the session.
