Description: In this 2-hour hand-building workshop, students will work on making pinch pot goblets for that special beverage! Open to all levels of experience.

  • Age Group: Adults 18+ are eligible for enrollment. Students who do not meet the age criteria must contact ceramics@fyamelrose.org to ask for permission to participate.


    Additional Information: Classes must have 4 enrolled to run. Instruction, materials, glazing, and firing costs included in the fee. The studio provides tools. We use brown stoneware clay. All student pieces will be glazed clear and fired by staff after the session is completed, and pieces will be ready for pick-up in the Fall.


    Arts for All: The Arts for All program at FYACS provides tuition assistance and adaptive services for its programs. Students may be eligible for one ceramics scholarship over the summer. Please visit https://www.fyamelrose.org/arts-for-all/ for more information and to apply.

Alessia O’Brien is a ceramicist and printmaker based in Melrose, MA. Their approach to art is tactile, organic, and fun, with a soft spot for functional work. They graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2016, and have been a working artist since.
