Prepare for a career in private investigations with this 40-hour training course through LSUA Continuing Education. Participants will study key topics including Louisiana private investigator law, constitutional principles, criminal law and procedure, evidence, surveillance, report writing, undercover investigations, interviews, and statements.

The course includes the PI Study Manual and is designed to prepare participants for the LSBPIE examination.

Dates: December 4–6 and December 11–13, 2026
Fridays: 6:00–10:00 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Course Fee: $375

An additional $100 LSBPIE exam fee is due at the end of the course. The exam will be proctored at LSUA. State licensing fees are separate and are not included in the course registration fee.
