**AI Master Class 1: AI Foundations, Effective Prompting, and Creative Media**

Discover practical ways to use artificial intelligence to support your work and bring your ideas to life. This hands-on master class includes two complementary, two-hour sessions.

**Part One: AI Foundations and Effective Prompting** introduces essential AI concepts and practical applications using tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini. Participants will practice writing clear prompts, refining responses, and reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy and usefulness.

**Part Two: Creating and Enhancing Media with AI** explores image restoration and enhancement, image generation, and the possibilities of AI-created video and audio. Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will learn how to develop media for presentations, instructional materials, and communications while considering quality, accuracy, and responsible use.

Designed for faculty, staff, business professionals, and community members, this class requires no prior AI experience. Participants will leave with reusable prompts tailored to their work and an AI-generated or enhanced image.

**What to bring:** A laptop with Wi-Fi access and an active account and subscription to the AI platform selected for training. Participants may also bring an older photograph they have permission to use for the image-enhancement activity.
