The goal of the Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition. and Stabilization (PEARS) Course is to improve outcomes for pediatric patients. Healthcare providers will learn assessment, early recognition, prompt communication, and initial intervention in respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest, using high-performance team dynamics. During the course, case-based instruction helps teach students appropriate lifesaving interventions to provide within the initial minutes of response. Textbook is required. You may borrow one from your unit or a colleague.
