This hybrid ACLS UPDATE COURSE is for participants who wish to renew their unexpired ACLS certification. It requires attendees to complete a didactic component through the AHA website, prior to attending a skills session at the training center. Preparation, including both the learning modules (approx. 3 hours) and the pre-course assessment is required. This hybrid model is meant for students who have previously attended an ACLS refresher course and feel confident in their ability to pass the written test and skills competency check-offs. Those who have not previously attended an ACLS refresher, or those who do not feel confident that they could pass the exams in class, are encouraged to find a full, in-person ACLS refresher class through our registration website.

Participants must be familiar with ECG interpretation, ACLS algorithms, and medications used in the algorithms. Those who fail to complete the pre-course work may be asked to re-schedule the class at the discretion of the instructors. Renewal is every two years. Textbook is required.
