Annapolis: A Historical Museum without Walls

Annapolis | This program is completed

Known as America’s Sailing Capital, Annapolis a compact city with 7.2 square miles of land enhanced by 17 miles of spectacular waterfront along the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. It’s been around for more than 300 years and has been through colonial settlement, pirates, slavery, robber barons, political intrigues and more. Annapolis pulsates with energy and is a paradise for water lovers, famous for its crab cakes, lighthouses, and 500 miles of gorgeous shoreline.

During this trip participants will experience numerous tours including a trolley ride featuring waterfront views and colonial mansions, a walking tour of the waterfront grounds of the United States Naval Academy, plus stroll through the charming streets of the Annapolis historic district with your colonial-attired guide during our last walking tour.

With some time on their own, attendees will be given a detailed map, a list of restaurants and suggested sites to visit while exploring Annapolis including the domed 1700s Maryland State House, the oldest state capitol still in use.
