Interested in learning how to stay active throughout the day and in your home? Enjoy an overview of the benefits of yoga and stretching, using household items for strength training, bodyweight movements, and the connection of the mind and body. This will be an interactive course with instructor demonstrations and practice with instructor coaching. All activity is low impact and focuses on building balance, preventing injury, and increasing mindfulness and your overall well-being.

Suitable for all fitness levels.

Instructor: Melissa Doberstein is the director of the Presidential Leadership Academy at Penn State and also serves as the director of Health and Wellness for the Schreyer Honors College. In addition, she serves as a group fitness instructor for Penn State Fitwell and is certified as a Schwinn cycling instructor and Barre/Pilates instructor. She holds a National Exercise Trainer Association (NETA) certification in Full Body Conditioning. She has a B.A. in Political Science and an Ed.M. degree in Higher Education Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
