Participants must have participated in the OLLI Course “Sign Language: An Introduction” in order to enroll in this course.

Come practice what you just learned! You’ll have a variety of opportunities to not only practice but also learn some new signs.

Instructor: Sharon Salter retired from State College Area School District, where she finished her career as the director of special education. Over her 41 years in public education, Sharon taught students with a variety of disabilities, although her first love was teaching children who were deaf/hearing impaired, and she is fluent in sign language. She has taught in Indiana, New York, Texas, and Ohio, and was an elementary principal and special education administrator in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

This is an OLLI Scholar course. Course dates are Thursdays, September 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, and 14.
