Wheel-Thrown Pottery: Getting Started

Set off on an immersive journey into the world of pottery in this three-session course. Tailored with beginners in mind, this course will introduce you to the nuances of wheel throwing, the precision of trimming wheel-thrown objects, and the artistry of glazing techniques.
Instructor: Jan Dillon, ceramic artist, retired from Penn State in 2017 after a 32-year career. She taught mathematics at Penn State Dubois for 16 years before moving to State College to work in Outreach for the second half of her career. She is a member of the Art Alliance of Central PA and the Potters Guild. At The Rivet, she has expanded her art and craft reach and now enjoys working with wood, clay, and other mediums.
Course fee includes $89 for all supplies. Course dates are April 8, 15, 22.
