My Experiences Volunteering In Israel
1 Session | Available
Recognizing the need for aid to those caught in the Middle East war, this course will share the experiences of a local man who volunteered at the Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital in Tel Aviv. James will share his experiences as he interacted with friends and family in addition to those he met in the hospital.
Instructor: James Ultman is a retired faculty member from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Penn State, where he took sabbatical leaves at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and the Technion University in Haifa, Israel. During his retirement, James continues some of his engineering research on biomedical engineering topics and volunteers for several nonprofit organizations, including Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Discovery Space, the American Red Cross, and his synagogue, Congregation Brit Shalom.
