Introduction to Buddhism

The course will introduce participants to the theory and practice of Buddhism. It is designed for participants with no prior knowledge of the subject matter.
Instructor: On-cho Ng, a native of Hong Kong, is a professor of Asian studies, history, and philosophy and the founding head of the Asian sudies department at Penn State. Primarily a scholar of Chinese thought and culture, he has written broadly on Confucian and Buddhist ethics, religiosity, and historiography, and offered a vast array of courses related to his intellectual interests.
