Can You Name Five Women Artists?
1 Session | Registration opens 3/3/25 8:00 AM EST
Even today, the stories of and artwork by women artists are underrepresented in most museums and galleries worldwide. But not at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA), in Washington, D.C. The museum’s mission is to raise awareness of the resilience, creativity, and impact of women artists. Join an NMWA educator for this virtual talk to learn about incredible artists across time and place.
Instructor: Adrienne (Addie) L. Gayoso (she/her), Ohio native, has been a museum educator in Washington, D.C., since 2004. As the senior educator at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA), she develops programs for school, teacher, and multigenerational audiences as well as interpretive resources for online and on-site visitors. Addie earned an M.A. in Arts Administration, with an emphasis in Art History, from Indiana University, Bloomington. She loves looking at art and introducing new artists to learners of all ages.
