The OLLI Social and Membership Committees invite all OLLI members to join us monthly on the second Friday of each month, beginning Friday, May 12th at Springettsbury Township Park to take a walk, pick up lunch and meet with friends – old and new. Springettsbury Township hosts Food Truck Fridays every Friday from May 5 through September 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Southwest corner of the park. This event is free and open to the public; just pay as you eat. Vendors accept cash and credit cards. A list of weekly food vendors is posted on www.springettsbury.com. OLLI members take this opportunity to take a walk before lunch on the park paths, meeting at 10:00. After working up an appetite, we visit the numerous Food Truck vendors at 11:00 to pick up lunch and gather at the park picnic tables to eat and socialize. This year we plan to meet on the 2nd Friday of each month. So mark your calendar for May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11 and September 8. Then bring your sneakers (if you want to join the walk), bring your chairs (tables are limited) and your appetite to try the different foods available. Look for picnic tables with the Olli sign to join the fellowship.
